I am so hoping this is a joke by the reality show producers to get publicity. What must the girlfriend Hailey Glassman thinks?

And Kate just keeps looking better everyday.

Kate Gosselin is shooting a pilot for a Talk Show

It's been awhile since I have commented on Jon or Kate but I just had to comment when I heard Kate will be getting at talk show, mind you, she will be one of four co-hosts with Paula Deen, Rene Syler and Lee Woodruff. The show is being described as "The View for working moms." Kate, is not a working mom. Being a reality mom is not working, having people write your books for you is not working. Help me god, this news just bugs me no end.

Just when I got over that bit of news, I read this quote. "I've been the gift of gab, who why not use it?" She told an audience at the Southern Women's Show in Charlotte North Carolina.

She is kidding, right? On every show since the "break-up" in which she has been coached with an inch of her life and she shows no empathy, sense of humour or personality. It's canned responses. It's all about telling her story (which I am right with her on this one.) But a talk show where she gets to ask the question. Did these people not see her on the View???? Or see Jon and Kate plus 8, we watched because of the kids.

This is my prediction, great ratings in the first couple of weeks, we all like to watch a car wreck, right. I know I will tune in at first but I just can't see that it has the staying power. I love Paula Deen, but do you see Kate and Paula Deen together on a stage? I can not believe she let her management team talk her into this.

And as it has been going on for months, I can't keep my eyes off the train wreck that is Kate and Jon's continuing saga. In the all important public relations battle, Kate is winning hands down. No matter that most people don't like her (I for the record am so Team Kate), her public relations folks are earning their keep.

Last night, it was Larry King and now she is guest hosting on The View. Kudos to the View producers for getting her on the show. Guaranteed ratings boost and she gets to tell her story again. I know i will be setting my DVR for that one.

If Jon had any common sense, he and the girlfriend (Kate Part Deux) will stay out of sight for awhile. But sadly, he won't. His public relations team, thinks having him give interviews to counteract Kate, is a good strategy. It's not.

Even if Kate comes across with a chip on her shoulder and somewhat entitled, she appears to have the children's best interest at hand. She is not carousing around with 20 somethings at bars, hanging out with Lindsey Lohan's loser dad or heading off to St. Tropez being photographed smoking cigarettes on yachts. Jon, on the other hand, just looks like an idiot every time he opens his mouth in an interview and perception is that he is neglecting his duties as a father.

There are two truths going on here for Jon: 1) Perception is reality and 2) Action speaks louder than words.

Because I can't look away - Jon Gosselin Update

I know I should be tired of this story and it should really go away but I am increasingly amazed at Jon Gosselin's behaviour.

Latest news is that Jon had dinner with Michael Lohan, Lindsey Lohan's father. First, it was dinner with a Star reporter, Kate Major who was also at the dinner.

Why, Jon, Why???

For those of you who are not up on Mr. Lohan's background. He is a former trader, was imprisoned for stock fraud in the 80's, an alcoholic, arrested for threatening to kill his fiancee been in jail numerous times for violating his probation and to top it off doesn't make his child support payments on time.

I just don't get it. Asking advice from Michael Lohan is on par with my asking parenting advice from Octomom. Will he be calling Joe Jackson up next?

Upper West Siders Run for your lives - Jon Gosselin is coming your way

Oh Lord, it's official Jon Gosselin has a new abode on the upper west side.

He is moving into the Alexandria condominium at 201 West. 72nd Street. The building was built in 1991 and is 25 stories high. He has rented a two bedroom.

Why can't he go to another city???? There was a time when celebrities and semi-famous people could move to New York City and disappear but given his new found status, the paparazzi are going to be parked outside that building 24/7.

I would be really annoyed if he was moving into my building.

This is so intended to hurt Kate, talk about passive-aggressive behaviou

Jon Gosselin has gone from eliciting sympathy to frankly, becoming a tool. He is not even divorced and is now smoking cigarettes with girlfriend #2 hanging out in St. Tropez on Christian Audigier's  yacht. 

I am truly amazed at his behaviour. I, for one, have never been on the Kate Gosselin hate parade. Sure, she is a task master and on several occasions berated her husband on camera but there are two sides to every relationship. And no matter how Kate treated Jon, the children do not deserve this public humiliation from someone who is obviously rebelling and having a mid-life crisis. 

Jon so obviously has no taste in friends nor fashion sense. Christian Audigier is Jon's new friend and employer. Audigier is so creepy looking as evidenced by his website photo below. Audigier has brought us such fashion favorites as the Von Dutch trucker hat (remember that ridiculous trend) and Ed Hardy t-shirts (sequins anybody?). Who wears his stuff? 

Jon is so aware that TMZ and the other tabloids are following his and Kate's every move so there is no reason for his actions other than to hurt Kate. 

Jon I hope you figure this out because your 15 minutes of fame is up and you are fast loosing sympathy from the fans. 

Finally, stop wearing those Audigier/Ed Hardy t-shirts. They are neither attractive nor flattering. 

And the Plot Thickens - Jon Gosselin is in St. Tropez

Just when you think all the hub bub has died down, there are reports of Jon Gosselin in St. Tropez. And he's not with Kate (no shock there) and not with the school teacher but get this Halley Glassman. And who is this Halley Glassman and where did she come from. She is the daughter of the plastic surgeon, Larry Glassman. Yes, the same plastic surgeon who did Kate's tummy tuck. 

It's a small world. Right.

Jon, get it together, man. The twins are only a couple of years from being able to google you. 

Just when I think this story will die, Jon or Kate resurrect although Jon is is one step away from either being seen/photographed with a Las Vegas stripper or outed by some hooker. 

Let's face it the Gosselins are not that interesting to the paparrazi and now this St. Tropez incident is only going fuel the fire. 

Jon and Kate make the NY Times - Week In the Review

Imagine my surprise this morning when I turned to the inside cover of the Week In Review of the Sunday, June 28, 2009 NY Times and saw Jon and Kate along with the other big "relationship" newsmakers of the week.

Whatever you think of them, I am sure when Jon and Kate decided signed up to do the show, they never thought they would be in Times let alone included in the same company along with South Carolina Governor Sanford and Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi.

For what it's worth, Jon and Kate are no where near creepy, despicable or self -aggrandizing as Berlusconi.

No Surprise Jon and Kate are divorcing

I am truly saddened at the news that Jon and Kate will divorce. It does not come as a surprise to anyone with half a brain that this was in their future.

Regardless of what anyone thinks, myself included, no one wishes them ill will and hope that they can have an amicable divorce and there isn't a huge custody battle brewing. 

One final word, I know the majority of viewers and naysayers think Kate is a bitch and just rides Jon constantly but  Jon needs to acknowledge was also complicit in allowing Kate to walk all over him. 

Let's say a little prayer for the kids. I will truly miss the show.

Ladies and Gentleman, 

If you have a chance, head to the newstands to check out Mr. Reynolds abs in this week's Entertainment Weekly. 

I think that this issue will be staying in the house just a little longer than usual.

Proud to say I remember them all. Life was good when they weren't on the cover of every tabloid.

Still my favorite episode is when Kate looks like she could kill poor Aunt Jodi's for her rather dumb move to give the 3 year olds gum. On this one, I would agree with Kate because I am sure I would be cursing and ranting and raving too if I had to sit there and try to get gum out of my kids clothes. 

Enjoy this trip through happier times before the "big" announcement on Monday night.

Bring the troika back - Lindsey Lohan, Britney, Paris. No More Jon and Kate

Oooo!!! What is this nonsense about a life- changing announcement? Hate to sound cynical but how much could have changed in two weeks? In my opinion, TLC saw the ten million in ratings for the season premiere and the subsequent drop in the following two weeks and now they need to promote it again to try to get back to the ten million viewers. 

I haven't felt compelled to watch any episodes since the season premiere but darn it, I will be watching on Monday because this will be the tweet buzz that night and I hate not be part of that feeding frenzy. 

Yes, I know, I am just as bad as the media in driving this story but somehow I feel that I need to follow this through to the bitter end. 

It's Jon's Turn to Talk

I will be stopping by the newstand to read his side of the story. 

I can't imagine this is going to end well.

Wow, those kids look really abused don't they. 

This is completely a waste of taxpayer dollars Jon and Kate being investigated

No matter what you think about Jon and Kate, compared to being beaten and truly abused, it is ubsurd in this economy that they are wasting taxpayer dollars on this case. Do they really have the funding to do this rather help a real child in need.

Schadenfreude - Watching Jon and Kate's marriage disintegrate

I watched the premiere with great interest as I am sure the 5 million viewers of the show did looking for every nuanced glance and carefully worded responses

- No, I am not surprised they are now paparazzi fodder but I am surprised that there is a contingent who are following them in Pennsylvania. It's not like they live in a big city, they live in the middle of nowhere on a deserted road. How much is a Kate photo worth versus tracking Brangelina?

- How painful it was them discussing their "issues". Sure it's a bit of schadenfreude but still, I don't feel happy to be watching a marriage fall apart on screen.

- Those kids are still really cute. I loved the retrospective and reminded why I like he show.

- Jon ridiculous comment about not being able to write. We are not dumb. Kate DID not write those books, she had help. In order for her to write those books, she would have to had 2-3 hours a day to get it done. Even with help, I can't imagine she can work that into her schedule.

- Are we going to have comments about the paparazzi in every show? I do like watching this show but if I have to see those idiots every week, I will be annoyed.

- Why is Jon so sunburnt in May?

- Jon needs a book deal or something, he is so obviously resentful she is getting more attention.


- Kate's crying and saying that parents of multiples having 3x times the divorce rate and thlnk they were going to beat that".

- The editing was really disjointed. Instead of interjecting all their comments about what's going on, they should have just taped a special episode and addressed all the issues. Instead they pretty much ruined the birthday party celebration. My daughter loves watching this show and she can never watch this episode.

- Did all the guests have to sign waivers before being invited to the birthday celebration?

- Do you think Kate even talked to the other moms? I loved when she asked the "moms" to go get the kids for the party. She did not even address them by name.

- Watching Jon with Alexis about how he loved her and she said "I don't want you to leave anymore". That made me happy and sad. Of course, I am thinking where has he been? Isn't he taking care of them, while she was on the book tour.

- The countdown begins to the divorce.

Although, this was taped months ago, I will be watching the premiere, looking for every nuanced word and glance as will the legion of fans and detractors.

TLC executives must jumping for joy at all the tabloid press.

I guarantee the Monday show will garner the highest ratings in the channel's history.

As we all suspected, pictures don't lie.

Let's predict the next book Kate will "write" will be about overcoming adversity and scandal. I give it 6 months.

Kate Gosselin Book Signing was a disappointment

I was so excited when I heard about the Kate Gosselin book signing. Kate is the mother from Jon and Kate plus eight fame. I love the show. I know I am also in the minority but I am a big fan of hers. She really does make the show worth watching.

So I trekked down to the Tribeca Barnes and Noble, braving the drizzling rain. I arrived at the store about 45 minutes before the signing whereby I purchased two books Multiple Blessings and Eight Little Faces. There were about 30 people ahead of me in line which was not too bad.

About 12:30, she made her appearance to a single cheer. Yes, I understand she can't take pictures with everyone or have a conversation but it would have been nice if she at the minimum thanked the crowd for coming or said a few words. Instead she plopped down and began signing books. She barely look up or said anything.

Maybe I have watched too many movies where the author gets up and chats for a bit, answers questions and then signs books, this was not a movie but pretty much a boring, business like book signing. Naive me.

After about 10 minutes, I did get my turn. I quickly mentioned that I watched the show with my 6 year old daughter and she did say "awesome' but barely looked up when she did say it.

I have to say she looked amazing. I think the haircut is flattering and yes she does look younger in person than when the show first started. Having money and stylists does agree with her. She was also wearing some serious bling, not too flashy but a lot of diamonds. Diamond bracelets, diamond rings, not sure about the earrings but I am sure they were diamonds as well.

All in all, I am happy I went but I am not so sure I would attend another book signing. This was truly a disappointment.
