Stella McCartney for Gap Kids - Not Very Interesting

Over the last few years, Target and H&M have signed top designers for their mass merchandise companies and with great success. I have fond memories of standing in line and beating off the hoards for my Karl Lagerfeld for H&M dresses.

Now Stella McCartney has developed a line for the Gap. Designing kids clothes versus low end women's line are two different things. Most people go to the Gap Kids for quality, low priced (I know there will be a debate on what qualifies as low-priced, here but compared Ralph Lauren kids or Crewcuts kids, it's a bargain) clothes.
Her line is just so blah and frankly, there is nothing that makes it out of the ordinary or worth buying. Now when it goes on sale, maybe.

The Sgt. Pepper jacket is $128, which I think is a bit overpriced. The dress is $58 and silk, looks cute but I would super hesitant to buy silk for a little girl. Hey, that's just me.

What do you think?

Hmmmm, I agree that the prices are way to expensive for Gap. I think the clothes look more sophisticated than some of Gaps other children's clothes that are fun, colorful and funky...and your right, maybe less exciting! I love Gaps regular clothes that are fun, colorful and funky more than I do this new line, however, I still think that they are cute, in a more grown up way :)
