Dear Kid Saturday - Persistence is the ticket

Dear Darling Daughter,

Last week, we attended the Wild, Wild World: Wolves presentation at the American Museum of Natural History. At the end of the presentation, there was a question and answer session. Your hand immediately shot up and enthusiastically, I might add. Even though the presenter kept calling on people from the other side of the room, you were persistent and determined to ask the question even standing up so she could see you. The grandmother next to us even let you stand in front of her so the presenter REALLY could not miss you.

And in the end you prevailed, asking the next to the last question and frankly the best and most observant question missed by every child and adult.

"What is the black spot on Atka's tail?" I did not even notice the spot as it just look like dirt on Atka's white coat.

"Excellent question, the spot is a scent glad." Ahhs from the audience.

See the spot on the tail?  Doesn't it look dirt?

So kudos to you for your persistence for holding your ground and not giving up. This trait will serve you well, now if we can not be so persistent when you want something from your mother.

Love,
mommy
