Who doesn't love Hershey Kisses? You put a bowl in front of me and watch them disappear. I must admit that eating them is all I do but it seems to me that I am missing out on how to incorporate them into baking desserts for parties and class bake sales.

Replacing the Hamster, The Zhu Zhu Pet

Zhu Zhu Pets are one of the hottest toys for Christmas this year. What the heck are Zhu Zhu Pets, you ask? They are mechanized and interactive hamsters. Doesn't it seem like the perfect pet? No mess and no cleaning up the cages. I was thrilled when BSM Media sent a variety of Zhu Zhu Pets and a complete Zhu Zhu Pets Hamster "habitrail" for my daughter and her friends to test out.

Zhu Zhu Pets are super cute and make funny, adorable noises as they navigate the habitrail. And not the toy noises that annoy you and make you feel like throwing them up against the wall after hearing them go on for hours.

Putting together the habitrail was super simple. I am one of those people who hates to read instructions and used the pictures to put the habitrail together. My only comment was the brackets that connect between all the tunnels didn't always fit perfectly.

The Zhu Zhu Pets have some type of chip that makes them know when to turn as well as make noises based on the room they are entering. For example, when entering the garage, they make a vroom, vroom sound and when they near the bathroom, the pet makes a flushing noise, very cute making it much more interactive and engaging the children.

I have to say that all the kids were thrilled by the toys and were excited to run the pets through the habitrail.

Since having the party, my daughter loves playing with the Zhu Zhu Pets and letting them maneuver through the habitrail pretty much on a daily basis and believe me, this is pretty astonishing since she forgets a new toy after a day.

Clean + Green Products Review

Recently, I was given the opportunity to test two Clean + Green products; Furniture Refresher and Carpet and Odor Eliminator. As this, fits in with my goal of using more green and eco-friendly products, I was thrilled. Clean + Green is known for eliminating odors, especially those pesky pet odors.

We don't have any pets but given that I do live in New York City, my apartment does get that musty odor smell and lingering food smells, broccoli and fish, anyone?

Both products proved to be useful for non pet odors, I found that the musty odor on my sofa seemed to magically disappear. I read the instructions for more odors that could be eliminated by both products.

The one that surprised me was using the Furniture refresher in the garbage can, furniture refresher, sounds counter-intuitive, right.

There is some funky smell coming from the garbage can and trust me, I have washed the garbage can several times and yet nothing changed. Smell, still there. I finally figured out it was the garbage bags that smelled. I keep them there to save space. There were at least 40 of them, so throwing them out was not an option since we know how expensive garbage bags are. I sprayed the bags with the furniture refresher and the smell went away. Fantastic. I couldn't believe it. Smell, gone. Bags saved.

I also tried the Furniture Refresher on my daughter's stinky shoes. She hates socks so that leaves nothing between her stinky feet and her shoes. The smell didn't completely away but at least I don't have to move them out of her closet. As far as I am concerned it worked.

Try it out and let me know how it works, especially if you have pets.

So what was the purpose of the providing you with fun facts from 1969 - to celebrate the introduction of the Gap's new line of 1969 Premium Jeans.
