The Penny Pinchers Club Book Giveaway

I received a courtesy copy of The Penny Pinchers Club written by Sarah Strohmeyer. I have to say that I had not heard of Ms. Strohmeyer but that doesn't mean anything since the only books I have read since I adopted my daughter are the Harry Potter books and Twilight.

The main character, Kat Griffiths has never saved a penny in her life and can best be described as a shopaholic raised on South Jersey malls. But when she begins to think that her husband is leaving her, she decides to kick her spending habits, joining the Penny Pinchers Club to save money and prepare for a divorce.

If you are looking for fun beach read, this is for you. It will definitely hold your attention at the same time provide you with money saving tips. Ms. Strohmeyer provides some South Jersey flair to keep you entertained.

www.newyorkcitysinglemom.com will be giving away two books for our readers.

To win, provide one money saving tip in the comments section by Friday, July 17.

I take the time to search all over the internet before I buy anything. We've saved a ton like this.

I save money by geting the sunday paper it has great coupons and all the flyers and walmart and some grocery stores do pricematching, so then I take all my flyers to one store and am able to get all the deals and not have to go to alot of stores. And I also stock up on things when there on sale.

I use FreeCycle.org. It's a group meant for recycling items you longer need that someone else might want, and keeping them out of landfills. I've gotten many kitchen items and books that way - everything is free, you just have to pick it up.

coupons! Seriously! I routinely save $100 or more at the grocery store every other week. It takes a little bit of planning (and a few newspapers!) but it's totally worth it. This sounds like a cool book, thanks!
